Abstract:

The aim of this rapid survey was to provide detailed information on lemur species diversity as well as species boundaries and distribution of Microcebus myoxinus and the newly described Lepilemur randrianasoli in the three remaining fragments located between the rivers Tsiribihina and Manambolo. This information is urgently required for an accurate assessment of the species’ population size and conservation status.
