Abstract: 

Nine populations from a parapatric contact zone between Zygaena angelicae Ochsenheimer, 1808, and Zygaena hippocrepidis (Hubner, [1799])2 in southern Germany were investigated with regard to their morphological and morphometric differentiation. The relative frequencies of intermediate individuals (i.e. the number of presumed hybrids) within the populations have been revealed by calculating hybrid index scores.
