Die Reisebeschreibungen und Tagebücher Hermann Müllers - eine Übersicht.
Seven bound diaries and three travel accounts of scientist and pedagogue Hermann Müller (1829-1883) have been preserved in private hand or at the Biohistoricum. These are shortly presented in the following contribution. An initial evaluation and analysis of his diaries reveals that the desire to teach had matured in Müller at a very early stage. From his practicals in chemical laboratories, and from his notes on many hours of nature observation, it is evident how Müller developed from a science student to a secondary school teacher. He was a passionate advocate for the popularization of Natural History.
