Spider diversity  - Ecuador

Nadine Duperre, ztm Hamburg, (Sprache: engl.)

Ecuador is one of the 17 megadiverse countries on the planet, and yet very little is known about its spider biodiversity. For the past ten years, we have conducted expeditions all over the country, from the lowland coastal forest to highland Andean Paramó and, into the rich Amazonian rainforest. Our journey led us to make numerous remarkable discoveries, well beyond our expectations.

Presenting Ecuador's amazing spider biodiversity: from new families to new species never seen before, what we have learned, and what still needs to be done to uncover and help protect this amazing biodiversity.

The talk will also be broadcast via ZOOM:
