Harbor seals are semi-aquatic animals also living at our coasts. There they can be regularly seen hauled-out on sandbanks. , they leave their haul out places to go for foraging. On these trips, they cover 50km or more but they return to their haul out places. How are they able to navigate the ocean, featureless at first sight? Moreover, how can they find their prey in their habitat? In my talk, I would like to highlight what we know about the senses of harbor seals, specifically about vision, and how they/it can/could potentially contribute to orientation, navigation and foraging
