Abstract:

In the second part of our work on the taxonomy of the Gekko vittatus complex we are dealing with the nomenclature and synonymy of G. vittatus Houttuyn, 1782. In particular, two available names are discussed and evaluated: Lacerta ypsilon Linck, 1783, and Lacerta zeulonica Nau, 1791. Both names which were formerly overlooked in the taxonomic literature, proved to be junior synonyms of G. vittatus Houttuyn, 1782.
