Käferfauna auf Weidenbäumen
Observations of the beetle fauna on willow trees (Salicaceae) in Rheinaue Leisure Park in Bonn and, additionally, in the Groov near Zündorf as well as on the banks of the Rhine near Ensen-Westhoven, are presented. The spotted willow leaf beetle (Chrysomela vigintipunctata) was recorded from Rheinaue Leisure Park in Bonn in 2020 and in 2023, for the first time also on Salix matsudana ‚Tortuosa‘. Further records include: Crepidodera plutus, C. aureus, C. aurata, Plagiodera versicolora, Clytra laeviscula (Chrysomelidae), Stethorus punctillum (Coccinellidae), Cossonus linearis, Curculio crux and Dorytomus melanophthalmus (Curculionidae). So far, Chrysomela populi (Chrysomelidae), Trachys minutus (Buprestidae), Curculio salicivorus, Dorytomus ictor (Curculionidae) and Variimorda villosa (Mordellidae) have only been found in the south of Cologne but are to be expected in the Bonn area. The ecology of these willow tree-dwelling species is discussed.
