Diversität Südamerikanischer Blindschlangen

Beschreibung

Besides the collection of specimens during different field trips, a large number of museum specimens from different international collections was examined (i.e. KU, BM, MCZ, FMNH, CORBIDI, ZFMK, NHMW, MNHN, SMF) to be able to distinguish the different species and identify so far undescribed species. The gained expertise will result in further taxonomic works, several of which have already started and will result in new species descriptions and compilation of identification keys. Knowledge gaps will be filled and future research on this group will be facilitated.
