High-Performance Computing
Next generation sequencing techniques are generating unprecedented amounts of data which challenge concepts of data analyses and storage.
The ZFMK houses several dedicated Linux high-performance computing (HPC) systems to handle these challenges:

A ten-node cluster consisting of
- two nodes with two 28-core Intel(R) Xeon(R) Platinum 8180 CPUs (2.50 GHz) and 756 GB RAM per node
- three nodes with two 28-core Intel(R) Xeon(R) Platinum 8180 CPUs (2.50 GHz) and 1.5 TB RAM per node
- three nodes with two 32-core Intel(R) Xeon(R) Platinum 8362 CPUs (2.80 GHz) and 1.5 TB RAM
- two nodes with two 28-core Intel(R) Xeon(R) Platinum 8280M CPUs (2.70 GHz) and 3.0 TB RAM per node
- one node with two 32-core Intel(R) Xeon(R) Platinum 8362 CPUs (2.80 GHz) and 3.0 TB RAM
- A four-node cluster with two 12-core Intel(R) Xeon(R) E5-2697 v2 CPUs (2.70 GHz; 96 cores in total) and 512 GB RAM (2,048 GB in total) per node
- A single unit with four 16-core Intel(R) Xeon(R) E7-8867 v3 CPUs (2.50 GHz; 64 cores in total) and 3.0 TB RAM
