The Leibniz Institute for the Analysis of Biodiversity Change

is a research museum of the Leibniz Association

What's stored in our Biobank?

The LIB Biobank (at Museum Koenig, Bonn) is a specialized archive that is complementary to the other collections of the LIB museums (in Hamburg and Bonn) and is linked to them.
Here we store samples of animal and environmental DNA and fixed or viable tissues, associated with the corresponding biological data. Storage temperatures: ambient (sealed), -20°C, -80°C, -190°C (liquid nitrogen).
