Field of work

In early 2017, I started working at the ZFMK as the scientific advisor of the director and am responsible for research networks, international collaboration, and science policy.

With my interdisciplinary research projects INPEDIV, DINA and sustainCBW, I have supported the foundation of the Center for Biodiversity Monitoring (zbm) and am now head of the new zbm section Conservation Ecology.

Research interests

I am a trained population ecologist with a PhD in “Biological Diversity and Ecology” and a particular focus on conservation-related research.

My fields of expertise include land use and climate change impacts on biodiversity, conservation biology, population assessments and monitoring, community ecology, population genetics, behavioral ecology and sociobiology.
