Profile

Field of work

Project SPRINT

My current research focus are grassland experiments within the Biodiversity Exploratories. The experiment allows us to investigate how land-use intensity and changed drivers of grassland management (mowing, grazing and fertilization) can affect ground-dwelling arthropod communities. In my research, I concentrate on the morphological and functional diversity of carabid beetles, and seed predation as an ecosystem function.

Research interests

I am interested in landscape ecology, forest conservation, biodiversity monitoring and trophic interactions. My special interest is the role of anthropogenic land-use and management for biodiversity in grassland- and forest ecosystems.
