Description

The number oftaxonomists decreases. Within the project "KennArt -  A nationwide initiative for the qualification of taxonomists" (2020-2026), the NABU-Naturschutzstation Münsterland and the Centre for Biodiversity Monitoring and Conservation Science of the Zoological Research Museum Alexander Koenig try to stop this trend. Over six years, a modul based system with basic, advanced and expert courses for various organism groups with a focus on insects will be developed and tested in Germany. The project is supported by the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation and funded by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety.
