Management of Collections
The scientific collections at the ZFMK are supported by the two collection managers Monique Hölting and Björn Rulik.
They work on cross-departmental topics and support documentation, inventory and management of collection material. Other tasks include the standardization and optimization of collection-based workflows.
Björn Rulik is contact person for different digitization issues, is co-supervising and supporting data basing and is acting as the interface between the collections and section biodiversity informatics. The harmonization of internal workflows facilitates access, visibility and acceleration of biodiversity discovery. Maintaining and developing the GBOL network supported by a technical position is another major responsibility.
Monique Hölting is contact person for different legislations (e.g. Access and Benefit Sharing (ABS), CITES, BNatSchG) and is responsible for the implementation of ABS guidelines at ZFMK in order to meet the requirements of European and national ABS-laws.
