Chair "Biodiversity Monitoring"

In cooperation with the University of Bonn, the ZFMK establishes the first professorship for Biodiversity Monitoring.

The dramatic decline in insects and breeding birds requires independent and scientifically top-class research, independent of stakeholders. This is urgently needed in order to identify trends, understand causes and present proposals for action for decision-makers.

The chair will work closely with government agencies and nature conservation associations.
