Museum school

The Museum School is an institution of the Museum Koenig Bonn and organises school classes and courses. Three teachers have been seconded by the Cologne district government for one day per week. All guided tours and programmes of the Museum School focus on learning through discovery and thus correspond to the principles of the scientific way of acquiring knowledge.

We offer our programmes according to age and school type and are happy to accommodate special requests from teachers and pupils. In order to organise the museum visit as effectively as possible, we divide larger classes/courses into groups of approx. 15 people and then guide them one after the other. The non-guided group can explore the museum on their own, and the relevant work materials are also available on our website.

The duration indicated in the programmes is a guideline that can be adjusted by arrangement. The events take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 10 am (opening of the museum) and around 1.30 pm.

  • Admission: €2.50/student, one accompanying person per 10 students has free admission
    The events (guided tours/workshops etc.) organised by the museum school are free of charge.

  • There is a lounge on the ground floor where visitors can cater for themselves. Otherwise, eating and drinking is not permitted in the exhibition rooms.
