In the first part of this programme, pupils learn about the complete and incomplete development of different insect species using different stages of development. They examine living objects with the help of magnifying glasses and draw them. The second part of the programme uses the example of the evening peacock butterfly to present both the camouflage and the deterrence of predators in insects. The pupils then make and colour a model of the peacock moth.
