The tour starts with a general discussion of water and its distribution on earth. It then discusses the creatures that can be found in a river. The changes in the characteristics of a river from its source to its mouth are discussed, as well as the associated changes in the species composition of the organisms. In addition, the intermingling of species - for example in relation to the choice of food due to the different mouth positions and other physical characteristics - is discussed.
