Refugium

Participatory exhibition by the fringe ensemble

  • Runtime

    07.11.2023 - 10.12.2023

  • Location

    1st floor

Have you experienced something special in and with nature, something unforgettable? Something that has impressed or preoccupied you, that has confused or changed you, something that has surprised or overwhelmed you?

We would be delighted if you could donate your story to our project at the Refugium.

The fringe ensemble invites you to a "Refugium" at Museum Koenig Bonn, which will become a reservoir of nature stories. In the space designed by set designer and video artist Annika Ley, special experiences of nature, unforgettable experiences in or with nature will be collected from museum visitors of all ages. Alongside other material, they will form the basis for a theatre project that the fringe ensemble will develop in the coming year. A polyphonic work about the relationship between humans and nature will then take place in the form of scenes, installations, sound and spoken works at various locations in Bonn's urban space.

The fringe ensemble can also be found regularly at the Museum Koenig. We would be delighted if you would visit us in our refuge on the first floor and tell us your story(s).

Do you have more to tell?

Feel free to send us an e-mail or register for a personal interview: office@fringe-ensemble.de

FRINGE ENSEMBLE

The Bonn fringe ensemble, founded in 1999 by Frank Heuel, is based in the theatre in the ballroom in Bonn Endenich. The professional independent theatre works locally, nationally and internationally with artists and specialists from the fields of drama, music, digital media, film and visual arts. In addition, participatory projects are also created with the involvement of citizens. The project developments are often preceded by intensive research into complex topics. The plays are usually presented in the theatre, but also in other locations, such as urban spaces or sometimes in nature.
