The Alexander Koenig Society
- supports research projects at the LIB,
- supports students
- assists with the acquisition and expansion of scientific collections and literature,
- and supports academic exchange and collaboration with research institutions both in Germany and abroad.
Eligible for funding include, amongst others, LIB staff, students, PhD candidates and postdocs, in particular to enable research work, participation in conferences or research stays. An informal application (PDF document to akg@leibniz-lib.de) to the President of the AKG, including a brief description of the project; in the case of students, this should be accompanied by a letter of recommendation from the head of the research group.
The AKG Executive Committee decides on applications.
