What do bioplastics have to do with human rights violations? Why do eucalyptus plantations lead to hunger? How are palm oil, forest destruction, biodiesel and migration connected? And what does all this have to do with the so-called bioeconomy?
The photo exhibition conceived by denkhausbremen provides answers and takes a critical look at the bioeconomy and behind the scenes of biomass production in the Global South.
With photographs by Vanessa Cabanelas, Sérgio Carvalho, Carmelo Fioraso, Verena Glass, M. Habibi, Hariandi Hafid, Paul Hilton, Ulet Ifansasti, Kemal Jufri, Pinarsita Juliana, Paula Leutner, Safrudin Mahendra, Galih Nofrio Nanda, Renan Olivetti, Jana Otten, Lunaé Parracho, Werner Rudhart and Peter Steudtner
