The University of Bonn and the Zoological Research Museum Alexander Koenig are showing for the first time how seven of their collections, museums and objects are closely interwoven. In the spirit of Alexander von Humboldt, they represent a networked cosmos of object worlds, which includes the specialist disciplines from the humanities and natural sciences. Using selected objects, the exhibition focuses on this cosmos of object worlds in a form of science and research that is more mutually stimulating today than ever before.

The exhibition is part of the joint project funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) since December 2016 entitled "The Collections - a Cosmos. From Alexander von Humboldt's networking science to object-based knowledge arrangements in the network age".
