Stakeholders from Bonn and the surrounding area

The Bonn exhibition project by Ursula Jünger and Horst Bennemann presents 14 initiatives from the Bonn region that are committed to climate and nature conservation. The exhibition is accompanied by nature photographs documenting the state of the surrounding nature, increasing environmental degradation as well as the commitment to climate and nature conservation. "We want to use our resources to contribute to protecting and preserving our nature and therefore our climate," say Ursula Jünger and Horst Bennemann, describing their motivation.

Bringing climate and biodiversity protection to society

With a view to the 27th World Climate Change Conference (COP) in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, in 2022, it is very important to them and the stakeholders to make the topic more visible to the public, to win over interested parties for climate protection and to invite them to actively participate for more climate and biodiversity protection on the ground. Projects in and around Bonn can also be presented on the Instagram page (hashtag bonn_klima_wir).

Accompanying programme

As part of the travelling exhibition, the Museum Koenig Bonn invites you to two further events in addition to the exhibition opening:

  • Herb show
  • Discussion evening

As the Leibniz Institute for the Analysis of Biodiversity Change (LIB), Museum Koenig Bonn, it is our aim to bring the discourse on the challenges of biodiversity and climate protection to the centre of society. We want to actively develop and promote possible solutions together with citizens, local politicians, businesses and scientists.
