Colours play an important role in photography. They can be used and combined in a targeted way to trigger emotions and effects in the viewer.
The wealth of colours that nature gives us is immense. The delicate, cool pastel colours early in the morning, the intense, warm colours at sunset, the fresh shades of green in spring, the rich red of a poppy field or the colourful lushness in autumn enchant us.
All these colours cast a spell over us. If we take a closer look, nature also offers a variety of colours on a small scale that leaves us amazed and subtly regulates the coexistence of living creatures: the colourful plumage of birds, mostly males dressed up for courtship for a female, the bright colours of insects and reptiles as protection against predators or the multicoloured plants that attract pollinating insects with intensely coloured flowers or serve to spread and preserve their species with bright fruits.
We nature photographers succumb to this spell of colour in nature every time anew. For this exhibition, we have followed our individual photographic and creative vision. Let our photographs cast a spell over you.
