"Colourful life in the canopy of the rainforest" was the motto of this year's painting competition for primary school children from Bonn and the region as well as the northern part of Rhineland-Palatinate. It is organised jointly by the Alexander-Koenig-Gesellschaft e.V. (AKG) and the Dr Hans Riegel Foundation.

In over 2,900 children's artworks, pupils from second to fourth grade have explored and imaginatively depicted the fascinating, colourful and dazzling life in the canopy of the evergreen rainforest using a wide variety of painting techniques and materials.
