"Krautschau" - Herb Show

on the International Day of Biodiversity

An after-work walk

In cities, we urgently need plants to mitigate the consequences of climate change. If you look, you can find plants everywhere, even in our inner cities, which are dominated by concrete and asphalt: Tiny, tough greenery grows almost everywhere, between cobblestones, in gutter joints and cracks in walls. And not just green, but a variety of herbs, grasses and mosses.
The #Krautschau urban botany campaign aims to raise awareness of the presence of wild plants in urban areas and the importance of nature in cities. The campaign came to Germany from France via England, where the hashtags #Krautschau and #MehrAlsUnkraut have become established on social media.
