Soot indication
We are delighted that VSRW-Verlag Dr Hagen Prühs GmbH has taken on the sponsorship of the sooty mangabey (Cercocebus atys).
The small mangabeys with the sooty grey fur are mainly found in the lower forest floors, where the diurnal group animals search for fruits, seeds and insects, or for a very special treat: Studies have shown that sooty mangabeys actively seek out foam nests and clutches of eggs of different tree frog species in order to "clean them out" and eat the eggs. This gives them a special source of food, as frogs that build foam nests have little to fear from nest predators.
