The forests of our planet play a key role in maintaining our entire ecosystem and are the habitat of a large number of different animal species.

Photos of forest-dwelling animals were eligible for submission - from the native Central European forest of the temperate climate zone to the Arctic taiga in the north or southwards to the tropical rainforests of South America, Africa or South-East Asia.

The jury selected 40 of the many fantastic photos for the exhibition.
