Holiday programme
Easter 2025

Information design, data visualisation & visual storytelling

The visualisation of data and information is as old as mankind itself.

In this interdisciplinary workshop, we will first look at the historical development of data visualisation through to modern design.

We will then familiarise ourselves step by step with the basic rules of scientific data processing and explore creative methods of information reproduction. We develop our own question on a topic from biodiversity research and then create our own data table as a basis for our data analysis through independent research.

Finally, we create a suitable layout and design and design our own poster to present our results.
