Prof Dr Wolfgang Böhme, LIB Bonn gives a lecture on amphibian and reptile diversity in West Africa
Report from several earlier research trips of the Museum Koenig, which served the research of West African amphibians and reptiles. It begins with a crossing of the western Sahara and leads through savannah areas into the tropical rainforest, especially into isolated montane forests in Cameroon. Typical species of the respective habitats are presented, including an unexpected rediscovery, and the role of isolated montane forests in speciation processes is explained.
