Peacock moth

We are delighted that Wolfgang Göttlinger has become a sponsor for the second time. This time of the peacock moth, Pseudimbrasia deyrollei.

The peacock moth(Pseudimbrasia deyrollei) belongs to the Saturniidae family. The wingspan is 15 cm. The animals have two large eyespots on the lower wings.

As a special feature, the moths have no mouthparts and therefore only live for a few days, which they use for mating and laying eggs.
