Papilio bromius is a butterfly from the swallowtail family (Papilionidae).
The wingspan is approx. 10 cm. Its basic colour is black with a broad, blue-green band across the fore and hind wings and blue-green spots on the wing edge.

This relatively common butterfly flies in forests and on forest edges and can also cope with more open landscapes.

Its distribution extends from Sierra Leone to Angola, east to Uganda and Tanzania.

The species is endangered due to the destruction of rainforests.
