Swallowtail
We are delighted that Inka Friese has taken over the sponsorship of the butterfly Papilio epiphorbas.
Papilio epiphorbas is a butterfly from the swallowtail family (Papilionidae).
The wingspan is approx. 8 cm - 10 cm. These beautiful animals have a black ground colour with blue-green markings. The hind wings have a short tail appendage. Their habitat is in forested areas in Madagascar and the Comoros.
The species is endangered due to the destruction of the rainforests.
