We are delighted that Heinz Fuchs has become the sponsor of the Charaxes eupale butterfly.

Charaxes eupale is a butterfly from the Nymphalidae family, the most common rainforest butterfly of the genus in West Africa.

Males and females of this species are very similar, with a silver-green ground colour and dark spots on the hind wings. The wingspan is approx. 4.5 cm.

 

The species is endangered due to the destruction of the rainforests.
