Description

There are a substantial number of Ethiopian bird species, some of them endemic, that often are little-known in terms of distribution, lifestyle and threats. In this project, we are studying selected bird forms both in the field and in the museum.

Two sub-projects deal with endemic francolins [15], ground-dwelling landfowl species of the mountainous regions of Ethiopia, and the effects of land use and climate change [16] on francolin conservation.
