Abstract:
The Silver Tree Monitor (Varanus zugorum) is listed as Data Deficient, as it is only known with confidence from the type specimen and some photos from the pet trade and its occurrence on Halmahera, where the reported type locality is located, has not been confirmed. Consequently, there is very limited additional information for this species.
