GIBBS (Ganzheitliches Biodiversitätsmanagement in der Baustoffindustrie) [21]

Die Gewinnung von Massenrohstoffen wie Kies, Sand, Ton und Gips ist mit erheblichen Eingriffen in Ökosysteme verbunden. Das Projekt zielt darauf ab, Biodiversität in den Abbaustätten der Baustoffindustrie zu erhalten und zu fördern. Am ZBM wird dabei ein systematisches Biodiversitätsmonitoring aufgebaut, das im Unternehmenskontext der Baustoffindustrie anwendbar ist. Hierbei werden sowohl traditionelle Methoden der Biodiversitätserfassung als auch technologiegetriebene Methoden eingesetzt.

DINA – Diversity of Insects in Nature Protected Areas [25]

Vor dem Hintergrund des in Deutschland dokumentierten dramatischen Insektenrückgangs in Naturschutzgebieten, fanden in 2018 diverse Besprechungen in einem Konsortium aus Naturschutzbund Deutschland – NABU, Entomologischem Verein Krefeld e.V. – EVK und mehreren Forschungsinstituten statt. Besonderes Merkmal des noch in Begutachtung befindlichen Projektes DINA (Diversität von Insekten in Naturschutz-Arealen) ist ein interaktiver, multidisziplinärer Ansatz zur Integration wissenschaftlicher Ergebnisse mit sozio-ökonomischen Aspekten und der Perspektive von relevanten Teilhabern.
